For our first lesson we had a drama lesson with Rob where we had to do our dress rehearsal. For our starter we were told to go into a circle and stand in drama neutral so we can do a warm up together. We first did a vocal warm up to get our voices ready and to help with our articulation during the play. This helped us as it gave us a lot of energy and everyone was wide awake and ready to do our dress rehearsal. We then went straight into the rehearsal starting from the first scene all the way to the end scene this is helpful because we could finish off our finishing touches to the play and know our cues when to come in and not to come in.
For our second lesson we had another drama lesson with Sharon. We had to go in a circle again in drama neutral and do the same warm ups in her lesson to get us ready for her lesson as well. We then went straight into rehearsal and started rehearsing the play with Sharon. Sharon told us that she wanted to go through the whole play without stopping to see if everything was on point. Some people kept on stopping because they wasn't so sure about their lines and their cues but in the end they got the hang of it and new their lines from back to front. This is helpful in rehearsals because we could see how much people needed help during rehearsal.

For our first lesson we started on papa tango. Which is that we have to go into groups and write up a short character biography for three given actors to act out. First we started with thinking of three characters for our script. My group started to think about what we could do so we all told each other our ideas. Then we all decided to do my idea which was that we could incorporate Lennie from 'of mice and men' and noel Clarke from 'top boy'. My idea was that Lennie is in the forest by a pond playing with the water due to him losing George. Then Alicia which is noel Clarke's little sister goes pass singing. Thus then makes Lennie happy and makes him follow her. But little does he know she is leading him to a bando.

For our first lesson we had a tutorial lesson with Sharon where we were told to write up all our work in our blogs to keep them updated.
For our second lesson we had a drama lesson with Rob where we carried on with papa tango. Our group was ahead so we started to do the plot of the story. we made up a lot of good story's but we wasn't sure which one to use. We then chose to do my story with Lennie following noels sister to noels bando and spy on her and at the end he gets killed. Then we added in georgina`s part of the story where she was mental and she was in a home because off her state. We then got told to write up everything we have for our scripts so we can show the actors what we came up with. So we chose people in our groups to write it up and then show us when we all come back.

For our first lesson, we had a drama lesson with Rob. For our starter we was told to sit in a circle and imagine. For example, imagine our watches broke and we had to fix them. We then got given a piece of paper with a couple lines on it and we had to make a short scene out of that. This helped us as we learnt how to act out a short play.
For our second lesson, we had wrote up units 1-4 for our blogs. We then went into a skills and audit list:
Unit 1: skills audit list
Characteristics of an audience:
Unit 3: Introduction to professional practice
Aspects of health and safety

For our first lesson, we started from scene 12 where Tybalt and Mercutio got slained by Romeo. We spent some time on this scene as it was one of the most powerful/effective scenes due to two of the main from both sides of the family getting slained by Tybalt and Romeo. This scene was very good as it showed the feud between both of the families. We then went through the rest of the play to see how it looks and to see if we can change anything else to make it more better. So we went through the play adding in more stuff in each of the scenes. This helps us as it gets us more familiar with each of the scenes.
For our second lesson, we had another drama lesson but this time with Sharon. She told us to work from scene 12 again and work our way to the end with us showing what we did with Rob. Once we showed her she began changing things in each scenes and focused on one scene to ensure that it was perfect. We focused mainly on the scene where juliet and Romeo see eachother again after Romeo slays Tybalt. We did this because it was the most effective scene as Juliet had to choose between leaving her husband for killing her cousin or stay with Romeo and forget about Tybalt. But as usual she chose Romeo over Tybalt.

For our first lesson, we had a production lesson with Sharon.
We was told to start on our blogs to get them upto date. This is useful as it helps us to finish any work that we need to finish off for our blogs.
For our second lesson, we had a drama lesson with Rob. For our starter, we were told to stand in a circle and warm-up. We then was told to do some stretches to warm ourselves up. We then went straight into rehearsal of our play Romeo and Juliet, where this time we started from the scene where Tybalt dies to the end of the play where Romeo and Juliet dies. This is crucial as if enables us to learn about the ending of the play and the way we need to act.

For our first lesson, we had a drama lesson with Sharon where we were told to stand in a circle and do a warm-up as a group. Warm-ups help us to get ready for a performance. This also enables us to do good in performances due to us being warmed up. We then went straight on to the rehearsal. We started from the first scene where u see the feud between both families. But at the start the prince stopped it. This shows the priority that the prince has over them as he is part of the Royal family. This also shows the respect that he gets due to him be such upper class.

For our warm up we did a quick vocal warm up to get us started for when we rehearse. We did vocal warm because it helps us with our articulation on our words. After that we went straight into rehearsal with Sharon told us to carry on from the scenes we did with Rob. She done this because she wants to improve our scenes. We did it several times to ensure that everyone knows what they are meant to do in that scene.

We started with Tybalt and mercutio meeting each other and getting in a brawl. We focused on this scene because it shows the rotten feud that both families have. This also shows that both families were not aware of the love between romeo and Juliet.

Monday 6th November 2017
For our first lesson we had a drama lesson with Rob. We done quick warm ups, such as, everyone taking in turns to do a warm up and then everyone had to copy. This is effective as it helps everyone to warm up and get ready for the lesson. We then started to rehearse through the party scene to see how it looks and what we need to ad in to make it better. We then rehearsed the scene again but this time Rob made us develop a dance for the party scene to make it look better rather than us just walking in. This effective as it helps us and the audience to understand that its a party and we came to have a good time. We then went straight into the party scene and started drinking and having fun but in the background no one realised romeo noticing Juliet and it is love at first sight for them. Then Tybalt notices Romeo and goes on a big strop to his father telling him that a Montague came to their party. We then was told to work on the fighting scene because it did not look realistic. Rob told Tybalt to underplay it due to him being serious and to stiff and he was not very calm.
For our second lesson we had a drama lesson with Sharon. We were first told to warm up as everyone was quite tired and not focused. So we did some vocal warm ups and stretches to help us get ready for the play. We were then told to rehearse from scene 1 to the end so Sharon could give us notes about what we done. After we performed our play to her she gave us a couple notes, which were, Scene 1:

For our first lesson we had a drama lesson with Sharon. For our starter we were told to sit down in a circle and list up everything that we need from now until the performance. This is effective as it gets us prepared for the performance due to us having a timetable for what we are going to do for each of the days. Most of it was rehearsal due to us wanting it to be perfect. But the one most important thing that we need to do is the dress rehearsal on 15th November for our play as it will help us all see what each person is wearing and to see how it will look with costumes. We then started from the fighting scene and incorporated everything we had in to it to make sure that it was up to date. We then worked on scene 21 where romeo and Juliet die and then both families come out from each side and see what their feud has put both and Juliet through due to their love for each other.

The responses that we got from them were
- Feel confident when on stage
- Be passionate
- inner monologue
- Response to princess speech
- Make sounds during the fighting scene
- Their was good energy with Capulet and Paris.
- Everyone should leave the scenes at the same time as it makes it more effective and easier to understand.
- Do not forget the dancing and freezes when the scene is going on as when them two are added in it makes it more effective.
- Avoid the kiss and kill position.
- End of scene gets smaller due to people leaving.

For our first lesson we had a drama lesson with Rob. We did another vocal warm up. This time we started with 2 sentences on the board and we had to try and say it. They were quite complicated as they were tongue twisters but after a couple of times we got them and we could say them fairly easily. Then after that we went straight into the rehearsal of romeo and Juliet. That tongue twister helped us as of was quite similar to some of the sentences in romeo and Juliet and with them you need to sound out the words more to understand them. We started off from the same scenes (1 to party scene). We was getting ready for our performance on Wednesday 11th October. This is useful for us as they were trying to give us tips on how to speak how to project our voices etc.
For our second lesson we had another drama lesson with Sharon. Our starter was a quick vocal warm up to get us ready for another rehearsal. This has enabled us to sound out our words better and say our lines better as we have done it several times. This helps us to learn our lines as we have been doing it very smd over again.
Tuesday 10th October 2017
For our first lesson we had a blog session with rob where we had to blog about what we did In each of our performing arts lessons.
Then at 2 o'clock we went to go and watch the music students perform. It was first the level 2s and then of progressed to the level 3s. Their performances were very good as they showed us what they had been working on and I had seen that they spent time on these songs to make sure that they were perfect. This enables us to see how hard they had been working for this performance eventhough most of them were nervous because it was their first time on stage.

For our first lesson we had a rehearsal lesson with Sharon where she told us go go into a circle and do some warm ups, for example, vocal warm ups and stretches. We then went straight into the rehearsal and ran through it once to see how it was. Kenya was our director for it so she was giving out all the cues to everyone.
Then it was 2 oclock, time for our performance. We went second last in the performance. All the other actors were good on stage as they had been working hard and they were making sure nothing went wrong. The dancers were amazing as they showed passion with in their dancing which shows that they came to impress the audience and not make a fool out of themselves.
Thursday 12th October 2017
We all had to get in college by 9:15 due to us going on a trip to the Conway hall. The things that was covered was the fighting scene where the two houses were in still images showing what feud they had. The workshop teachers were telling us different ways on how we can improve our scene and they added in two more ideas to try and make it better. This has helped with the style as they had tried to incorporate everyone in the scene so no one else is not in the scene, being a citizen or not. I have learnt the 5 rules. Which are 1: project ur voice to the back of the audience
2: cheat out a bit dont make your back face the audience etc.
It has helped me understand romeo and Juliet more due to us doing that workshop with them.

For our first lesson we had a dram lesson with Rob. For our warm up with did a vocal warm up to work on our articulation and to warm up our bodies. We then played a game of yes and no. This game is based on someone sitting on a chair and someone asking them questions about their day, etc. The aim of the game was to not say either yes or no otherwise your out. We then went straight into the rehearsal of romeo and Juliet and we was rehearsing up until the party scene. This is useful as we get a full understanding of what happens from the start of the play until the party scene.
For our second lesson we had a drama lesson with Sharon. For our starter we did another vocal warm up to work on our articulation and our voices. This is useful for us as it helps us to not get jumbled up with words and for us to project our voices when we are on stage. Then we went straight into the rehearsal of romeo and Juliet. We went over the party scene several times as it was the first thing we was gonna show to the audience in the theatre at kings cross. We also added in a couple more things , for example, extra people in the scene to act as If they were civilians in the play.
Tuesday 3rd October 2017
For our first lesson we had a blog lesson with Rob where we was told to blog about what we did in each of our performing arts lessons.
For our second lesson we had a drama lesson with Sharon. We for told to make a circle and stand in drama neutral whilst she tells us what to do. This is effective as she is helping us to get ready for the rehearsal due to people being quite tired. Then for our started we went straight into the rehearsal from scene 1 till the party scene. This is helpful as of helps people to learn their lines quicker as we are going over it a lot of times. This is also effective due to us now knowing a lot about scene 1 to the party scene. We then got told to incorporate other things in the party scene like the girls was tellinf romeo to go away from juliet bus ss they realised that she liked him they allowed her to go to him.
Wednesday 4th October 2017
For our first lesson we had a drams lesson with sharon. For our starter we did a vocal warm up where we was told to do (c and g, sand t and mpbb). This is an effective way to start off a rehearsal as it helps us with our articulation on them words and words that have them letters. We then went straight into the rehearsal starting from scene 1 to the party scene. We was rehearsing it a lot due to people not knowing their cues quick enough. This is useful as it then helps the actors to notice when to come in the stage space and when not to. We also incorporated some actors to come in as civilians to make it look more dramatic with the feud between both families taken place.
Thursday 5th October 2017
For our first lesson we had a tutorial lesson with Sharon where we also blogged about what we did in our performing arts lessons.
For our second lesson we had a drama lesson with Rob where we started off with a vocal warm up and some stretches. For example, stretching your neck by moving it from side to side and by stretching our your legs by stretching your whole body down until your hands touch the floor. This is helpful for us because if anyone feels tense we can do these stretches to loosen our selves up so we can be ready for the rehearsal. We then went straight into the rehearsal where we again worked from scene 1 to the party scene. We went over of several times to ensure that we know what to do.

Monday 2nd October 2017

Induction week.
Monday 11th September 2017
For our first lesson we had a drama lesson with Rob. This lesson was just an induction lesson as we did not know nothing about Romeo and Juliet. We done this by reading through the script and seeing which characters are treated with respect and which are not. This enables us to understand each character in the play and what their role in the play is.
For our second lesson we had another drama lesson with Sharon. This lesson was another induction lesson where we had to sit in a circle and everyone had to pick one character from the play and read out their lines to everyone. This is an effective way of learning about a play as it helps us to see who is In the play, what Romeo sees in Juliet through his poetic speeches and to see the rivalry between both families. But as we went through the play we see how the feud effected romeo and Juliet.
Tuesday 12th September 2017
For our first lesson we had a blog lesson with Rob where we worked on the context of the play. We were told to find a timeline for William shakespeare.
https://www.google.co.uk/url?q=http://williamshakespearealyssa.weebly.com/williams-life.html&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwjp4cfqk-3WAhXB0hoKHYkwBAYQwW4IIjAG&usg=AOvVaw3AVM0ZMD3S6GAdGJLKUUa2.
This helps us to understand William Shakespeare's life at its fullest. For example, he was born in 1564 and died in 1616.
For our second lesson we had a drama lesson with Sharon where we started of with a quick warm up. In this warm up we worked on some vocal warm ups to warm up our voices to ensure we are ready for the rehearsal. We then carried on with the induction but this time we stood up and started acting it out. This helps us to get familiar with the play more by acting it out and going through the stage directions as well. We were told to just say the lines as if we was in the moment and act out what was told on the script by following each of the stage directions.
Wednesday 13th September 2017
For our first lesson we had a drama lesson with Rob where we started off with a quick warm up to get us ready for rehearsal. We had to stand in a circle in drama neutral (feet parallel from each other and arms by our side) this is effective due to it showing the teacher that we are ready to learn. It is also effective as it doesn't enable any of us to fiddle with stuff. We them went straight into the induction to the play due to people still being confused about the play so we did little starter activities to help us remember. One of the starters was to get a piece of paper and write down the three most important things that happened in romeo and Juliet and create three still images out of that. This is effective as it shows everyone who is who and y they are in love.
Thursday 14th September 2017
For our first lesson we had a tutorial lesson with Sharon. We were taught how to set up our blogs and what we had to put in our blogs. This is useful because with out our blogs we can start to record what we did in each of our lessons.
For our second lesson we had a drama lesson with Rob where again we went straight into a circle and did some warm ups. This heps us due to some people being tired and being on long journeys to come here so this wakes up people and enables them to work hard. For our starter we went straight into the play and was going through each character with people being random characters due to the play not being casted yet. We first went through the whole play so we can see how we can cast it and what things we can change in the different scenes to make them look as effective as possible.

Monday 25th September 2017
For our first lesson, we had a drama lesson with Rob. We went straight into rehearsal working on scenes 5-11. We started off with the party scene where Romeo and Juliet first met and gazed into each others eyes. The first line of the scene was "what ladys that". This shows that Juliet stood out amongst all of the other girls in the party. This shows love at first sight between both romeo and Juliet even though they are on different sides. We worked on the party scene several times to ensure that we know everything about the scene and what character does what in the scene. The love at first sight between Romeo and Juliet symbolizes true love struck them as they gazed into each others eyes.
For our second lesson we had a drama lesson with Sharon where we got told to show her what we did in our first lesson with Rob as she wasn't notified with what we done. So as we showed her what we did she was impressed with what we did with Rob and she wanted to expand on what we did with Rob. So we went through it again and we stopped and started as she started changing some of the scenes by incorporating her ideas into the play.
Tuesday 26th September 2017
For our first lesson we had a blog lesson with Rob where we had to blog about what we did in each of our practical lessons.
For our second lesson we had a drama lesson with Sharon where we rehearsed through the start of the play to the party scene. This is useful because it helps us learn our lines as we are going through the start of the play again and it helps us to get to know the cues. We then went into the party scene where we worked on the first time Juliet and Romeo meet each other and whether anyone will notice them gazing into each-others eyes. This shows the obstacle they have due to them being on two different sides of a Waring family.

For our second lesson we had a drama lesson with Rob. Where we rehearsed from scene 11 until the end of the play. We was going through the play, from cue to cue so we know when to come in. We done this so we are more familiar with the play.

For our first lesson we had a drama lesson with Rob where we worked on our play Romeo and Juliet. For our starter we got told to stand in a circle and do a warm up to get us ready for our rehearsal. We started with a quick vocal warm up of (c,g). We walked around the theatre and when Rob clapped his hands we what to go into groups and make shapes. The shapes that was made in the exercise was mountains wall and aeroplane and coat stand. This helps us with our articulation when we pronounce our words for our play. This is helpful for us young actors to wake us up when we come in feeling tired.
For our second lesson we had another drama lesson with Sharon. We started choreographing the canon scene where we were told to work on different fighting scenes. We did this by working in pairs and started working on fighting moves for our canon scene. She then told us to go onto a line to create the canon scene with the Capulet and Montague's at each side. This is effective as it helps us to understand what character of the play is fighting and to understand the feud between them.
Tuesday 19th September 2017
For our first lesson, we had a blog session with Rob where we had to blog about what we did in each of our performing arts lessons.
For our second lesson we had a drama lesson with Sharon. We did a quick vocal warm up and stretches to get us ready for the rehearsal. We then went straight into the rehearsal from the beginning where Sampson and Gregory see the Montague's for the very first time. As we went through the play we started to try and follow the cues and we worked on the cannon scene where the two sides (Montague and Capulet) had their feud and we showed this by practicing the canon scene where we are fighting each-other in slow motion. This is effective as it shows the audience the feud that they have between both families. This is even more effective as u can see what both sides are doing to each-other.
Wednesday 20th September 2017
For our first lesson, we started off with a quick warm up game of wink murder. This works by someone going out of the room and we all decide who is going to be the murderer by winking at everyone. We told that person to come back in and we formed a circle and slowly the murderer started winking and everyone slowly died very dramatically. Our first exercise was called "yes lets go .....". The game was based on someone in your group or pair stating what to do. For example lets go swimming". We then had to act out as if we was going to swim. We then got told to change partners and do the same exercise with them but changing what we were going to do. For example, "yes lets go boxing". Then for the very last time we got told to do it again but instead of doing it in pairs or in trios, we got split into two groups and was given numbers in order for each of us to take part in the exercise.
After the first exercise, we got split into two lines to work on the cannon scene. The two lines represent both families (Montague's and Capulet's). This shows the rivalry between both families. The cannon started off with Jeremy and Kenia throwing their first punch/ move towards j-chel. Then as they did that j-chel had to react back. After their trio it went into a line of war with each person retaliating back at each other. This shows the feud that both families have against each other.
As we got closer to each other, we separated into our pairs or trios and started to work on our separate fights. I was working with khamal and was told to do our fight in slow motion, several times to fight in our stances as it will show a dramatic effect. We done this by going one by one in the cannon to make it more effective. We done this several times to ensure it was perfect. Also, i think its useful for us to do this several times to make sure that everything goes to plan.
Thursday 21st September 2017
For our first lesson, we had a tutorial lesson with Sharon. We were told to log into a computer, go on blog and blog about what we did in our previous lessons.
For our next lesson we had a drama lesson with Rob. We got told to go in a circle so we can go through a quick warm up. We did some vocal warm ups to help us with our voices. This helps us because as we are doing the warm ups it is relaxing our jaw muscles and it is helping us to project our voices. Then after that we did some stretches, for example, rolling down the spine and moving our heads left and right to stretch out out neck muscles. Then when we finished the warm ups we went straight into the rehearsal from scene 1 to the party scene. As we was acting out the scene rob was stopping and starting it several times to ensure that it was right. This helps us to maintain our role whilst there are between each scene. As we was doing this we tried to incorporate each character into each scene so we can all be doing something instead of standing around.
For our last lesson we had another drama lesson with Sharon where we worked on the rehearsal of our play romeo and Juliet. Sharon told us that she wanted to see what we did with rob so we showed her what we did with rob to see what changes she would like to make. After we showed her what we did she instantly told us to start again and run through it so she can change some stuff. Sharon helped us with the fighting scene with our still images at the beginning where j-chel comes in as the chorus and everyone else is surrounding her which resembles the two sides of Montague and Capulet. This helped us come in character more and it helped us understand our characters more.
