Ual level 3 performing arts

Monday 25th September 2017

For our first lesson, we had a drama lesson with Rob. We went straight into rehearsal working on scenes 5-11. We started off with the party scene where Romeo and Juliet first met and gazed into each others eyes.  The first line of the scene was "what ladys that". This shows that Juliet stood out amongst all of the other girls in the party. This shows love at first sight between both romeo and Juliet even though they are on different sides. We worked on the party scene several times to ensure that we know everything about the scene and what character does what in the scene. The love at first sight between Romeo and Juliet symbolizes true love struck them as they gazed into each others eyes.

For our second lesson we had a drama lesson with Sharon where we got told to show her what we did in our first lesson with Rob as she wasn't notified with what we done. So as we showed her what we did she was impressed with what we did with Rob and she wanted to expand on what we did with Rob. So we went through it again and we stopped and started as she started changing some of the scenes by incorporating her ideas into the play.

Tuesday 26th September 2017

For our first lesson we had a blog lesson with Rob where we had to blog about what we did in each of our practical lessons.

For our second lesson we had a drama lesson with Sharon where we rehearsed through the start of the play to the party scene. This is useful because it helps us learn our lines as we are going through the start of the play again and it helps us to get to know the cues. We then went into the party scene where we worked on the first time Juliet and Romeo meet each other and whether anyone will notice them gazing into each-others eyes. This shows the obstacle they have due to them being on two different sides of a Waring family.

For our first lesson we had a tutorial lesson with Sharon where we got put into pairs and we had to write down what the three most important things that we need as a drama class. We then got told to work on our blogs so we can update our work.

For our second lesson we had a drama lesson with Rob. Where we rehearsed from scene 11 until the end of the play.  We was going through the play, from cue to cue so we know when to come in. We done this so we are more familiar with the play.
